Leah Kahn began her 14-year career in Hillel as the Director of Engagement at the University of Chicago. She spent 5 years at Berkeley Hillel as the Senior Jewish Educator where she was a key builder in developing Torah-centered fellowship experiences, inspiring students to create vibrant Jewish lives. At Hillel International as the Senior Director of the Meyerhoff Center, Leah developed the second edition of the original Jewish Learning Fellowship curriculum and created Jewish Learning Fellowship 2.0: Life's Bigger Questions, and has trained hundreds of educators and rabbis in the art of teaching.
Leah was a thought partner in starting the Pardes Experiential Jewish Educators program at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies. She holds a Masters in Jewish Studies and Experiential Education from the Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies and a certificate in Jewish Studies from The Pardes Institute. She is a 2016 Pomegranate Prize recipient (Covenant Foundation), a 2018 recipient of the Fromer Award in Arts and Education (East Bay Federation) for her work as a choreographer and was an inaugural fellow in the M2 Pedagogies Research Fellowship (2020).
Leah is a certified yoga teacher, a lover of Torah, a lifelong modern dancer, a Shabbat enthusiast and a mean vegan cook. Currently, Leah works at the Office of Innovation as the Vice President of Education. She lives in Berkeley, CA with her husband, daughter and son.
