Alec Burroughs

Alec Burroughs received certification as a Jewish Educator from the Pardes Educators Program at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies, a pluralistic beit midrash based in Jerusalem. Originally from New York City, Alec has been involved in a number of eclectic areas. These areas include theatre, nursing, and more.

Having received no formal Jewish education growing up, yet having a strong sense of Jewish identity and peoplehood, Alec set out to make up for lost time, and quickly fell in love with Jewish learning. With this passion for Jewish learning and Identity, Alec hopes to be a role model for those young Jews who think that in order to be who they truly are in one area, they have to give up who they are in another.
