Amanda is currently a full-time rabbinical student at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and the rabbinic intern at Congreagation Emanu-El of Westchester. A lifetime lover of learning, she has also received an MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, graduate certificates in Jewish Education Specializing in Adolescents and Emerging Adults from HUC-JIR and Jewish Nonprofit Management from Gratz College, and a BA in Psychology and Judaic Studies from The George Washington University.
Amanda has worked in the field of experiential Jewish education for over two decades, most recently as the Director of the High School Program and Youth Engagement for Temple Sinai in Summit NJ, and before HUC spent six years in the Hillel field, working for Hillel at Cornell University, the University of Oregon, and Oregon State University.
With a passion for Judaism, leadership, innovation, and building relationships, Amanda believes in a learner-centered approach to her teaching style, becoming partners in the learning process. She believes that learning best occurs when we are able to translate our tradition into tangible tactics for today.
