Rabbi Darcie Crystal
Hi, I’m Rabbi Darcie Crystal! Over the past 20 years, I have worked across the spectrum of Jewish communal life, serving rural and urban Jewish communities, working in start-up and established synagogues. I am passionate about studying Jewish texts and tradition and I love sharing my enthusiasm with others who are eager to learn.
Currently, I teach Exploring Judaism and Melton Adult Education classes at Central Synagogue in NYC. For more than a dozen years, I taught Transformational Leadership to rabbinical students at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR).
in June 2020, I became Chair of the Board of Directors of Moving Traditions. And for ten years, I served on the Board of the Princeton University Center for Jewish Life/Hillel.
I attended Princeton University and received ordination from HUC-JIR. I live in New York City with my husband, our three kids and our family dog. I enjoy reading, hiking, playing pickleball and going to the beach.
