Hi, I’m Sophie, a nerdy, passionate Jewish educator based in Paris, France.
I’ve been building communities across Europe for over a decade and now serve as the director of Ze Kollel, a unique pan-European Beit Midrash, as well as programme coordinator for Paideia, the European Institute for Jewish Studies.
In addition to my academic training in Jewish history and philosophy (Masters in Jewish Studies from Hebrew University, and political thoughts from EHESS), I was privileged to spend 4 years studying in various progressive Yeshivot: Pardes, Hadar, Drisha, and the Conservative Yeshiva, where I now serve on the summer faculty.
My writings have been published in various Jewish Journals in Europe and the US: Akadem (France), Jofa Journal (US), Mozaika (Barcelona), La Voix Sépharade (Canada), and regularly in the Juedische Allgemeine Zeitung (Germany).
As a teacher, I strive to foster a sense of belonging through literacy, making every Jew feel invited to bring their unique voice to the everlasting conversation of our tradition.
Come talk to me about Midrash, Sefaradi culture, Feminism, Talmud, diaspora, G!D or football.
