MEET
Rabbi Andi Berlin

My favorite learning is done in partnership. Having such a rich, long, and diverse history, Judaism has text, teaching, ritual, guidance, poetry, thought, and art for every aspect of our personal and intellectual lives. I love having the privilege of helping Jews discover their own passion within our tradition. I was ordained by HUC-JIR in 1998 and have served Temple Sinai in Oakland as both a settled rabbi and as a Senior Sabbatical Replacement Rabbi. I am currently a corporate consultant, but continue my work within the Reform Movement by serving as a volunteer in the CCAR Ethics Process (I was chair of the Ethics Committee for five years). While I strive to help learners discover their own passions within our tradition, I have a particular interest in rabbinic text (200CE - 1600CE), Shabbat, Reform Jewish History, and Feminist Thought (which is really just Jewish Thought that gets labeled as "feminist"). I look forward to meeting and connecting with those who want their lives enriched by learning together.
