Once you meet him you realize that Avi is much more than the stereotypical born-and-raised Canadian who spent his college years in Israel and now resides in the United States.
Avi's decision to become a Jewish educator was prompted by his time as a student in a Jewish Day School; specifically during his sophomore year of high school. Since then, he has worked in a variety of settings attempting to ensure a more positive learning experience for his students than the one he recalls.
He sees JLC as an opportunity to continue this quest as well as expand his Jewish community.
AvI currently live in Baltimore, MD with his wife, Tikki, and his three children, Jack, Ariella and Noah (none of whom approve of his chosen profile pic).
