California native. Ordained by HUC-JIR in Cincinnati in 2008. Married to a fellow rabbi. Proud parent of two elementary age children. Since ordination I've served as the School Rabbi at The Davis Academy, Atlanta's Reform Jewish Day School. I love my role because I believe in the mission and values of the organization and truly no two days are the same. I'm also the composer-in-residence at The Temple in Atlanta, a cherished outlet for my musical creativity.
As a rabbi and human being I have many interests. Mostly I'm interested in how we create meaning, how we live with purpose and joy, and how we make the most of the gift of life. I believe that all life experiences are here to teach us and help us grow-- the universe is conspiring to help us fully "awaken". I'm also interested in helping people engage with Jewish tradition in ways that contribute to our happiness and wholeness, and also inform our daily lives.
Having worked in the same organization for more than a decade, I'm interested in organizational culture, mission, vision, and values, as well as supervision of instruction and mentoring. And of course, education and spiritual and religious development for people of all ages.
